The largest secular building in Venice is the Doge's Palace, which was the seat of Venetian doges. The main facade is decorated with two rows of loggias, palace is decorated with white, gray and red marble. Construction of the palace began around 1300 on the site of the old castle.
Největší světská stavba v Benátkách je dóžecí palác, který byla sídlem benátských dóžat. Hlavní fasáda je zdobena dvěma řadami lodžií, sám palác je zdoben bílým, šedým a červeným mramorem. Stavba paláce započala kolem roku 1300 na místě starého hradu.
